Encoders, sandwiched between the motor and the gearbox, provide single or dual line feedback across the range.

- Sequences of actions which can be repeated or supported by sub-routines
- Delivering or responding to external signals. (other Red Drives, LED’s etc)
- Speed control especially with varying loads
- Auto calibration or auto freeze in the event of interruption
- Constant acceleration in a given time
- Multi axis positioning x,y,z tables
- Describing geometric shapes
